Newsflash: Share Online 4.0, Nokia E63 Video and more N Gage compatibility

Let’s start with the N-Gage news. Now also the Nokia N78 and 6210 Navigator are officially compatible with N-Gage so that if you own a N78 go here and if you own a 6210 Navigator head here. Today’s second news is the update of Share Online. It has been update to version 4.0 now and brings a hand full new features or changes which you can find below. Yet just the N96, 5320 XpressMusic, 6220 Classic and the 6210 Navigator are supported. However, more phones will follow soon. Last but not least we have a pretty cool video from the folks over from Nokia Conversations showing Mikki Aro, Product Manager Nokia, talking about the new E63. The video is attached below.

Here the changes and improvements you will notice when using Share Online 4.0:
  • Improved upload/download experience. You don’t need to wait for your photos to be uploaded before uploading the next one. You can refresh your feeds, add comments, or even exit the application while the uploading is still in progress.
  • Outbox. You can see a list of pending uploads, as well as review, cancel or retry specific uploads. You can also use the Outbox to keep track of which photos and videos you have already uploaded.
  • Economic sharing. If you don’t have an affordable data plan, you can disable the use of cellular data in the Share Online settings, and queue your photos and videos to be uploaded as soon as a free WLAN connection is available. In addition, there are data counters available, in case you want to keep track of your cellular data usage.
  • Active standby indicators. Your outbox info is visible and accessible in your active standby screen. If you prefer, you can also remove these indicators.

    The E63 QWERTY keypad remains the same in terms of size but it has a better feeling to it. So it is still very comfortable to type on and even better as I think. The E63 has some more keys on the bottom of the keypad and the space key has become smaller to accommodate the extras. The soft keys, shortcut keys and D-Pad remain the same. The Call End key now acts as the Power Key too. This makes it easier to switch off but it also makes accidental switching on/off more possible.
