Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 vs. Nokia N96: Flash Comparison

In the previous post I toke a closer look at the built quality as well as the size of the Nokia N96 and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. Today it is the “flash” on which I will take a closer look. I just want to look how good the colour and the brightness is and not how good the quality is. Anyway, the X1 features a 3.2 megapixel camera and a single LED. Its competitor however has a 5 megapixel camera and a Dual LED. More over, I used the 6220 Classic with its really bright Xenon-Flash to bring third competitor into the test. So, let the battle begin:

No doubt, the X1 has no chance to win against the N96 or 6220. The flash of the X1 is just to weak and you cannot see any details. The 6220, however, brings a perfect result. The result is really good and the colour and the details are brilliant. No chance for the N96 and the X1. Nevertheless the Dual LED of the N96 is ways brigther than the LED of the X1.

Once again, the result of the 6220 Classic is the best. The range of vision as well as the brightness are top of the list. Well, the N96 brings more or less good range of vision but still has some issues with blur. The X1 has again no chance.

Now a close up picture. X1′s flash was always to weak but now it is to strong. As you can see the picture is ways to bright. The result of the N96 is fine but there is still a big difference between the N96 and the 6220 Classic. Nevertheless, you can read all the text which is caused by the good focusing of all the three devices.

Verdict:

The result is clear. Neither the N96 nor the X1 cannot keep up with the 6220 Classic. However, I rather compare the X1 and the N96. As you can tell the N96 with its Dual Led always delivered better results. Unfortunately it has sometimes problems with some blur but think this will be fixed in the next Firmware. So, the winner of this round is the N96 ( not counting the 6220 Classic)
