Nokia N95-1 gets new firmware v31.0.017
Posted by Christian Titze in Firmware, N-Series, N95, News, Nokia
The classical Nokia N95 (N95-1) just received a new firmware. The new firmware is version 31.0.017 and it should be available for most of the Product Codes already. If you want to hack your N95 don’t update, because this version is not hackable. If you don’t care about hacking your phone you can easily update via the Nokia Software Updater.
Symbian World recommends you to update your phone because firmware updates usually improve the performance and safety of your device.

“Please tell me the new features of this version”.
-Most software wont work
-Unhackable
-Unstable
-Something odd with galleria(says no images or videos)
I recommend to stay 31.0.015
And the best: cant downgrade back to workin 015 *cry*
this update made my phone unusable dont get any network coverage now i have a turbosim to unlock any network i dont know if the new update has blocked it or its a software bug anyone any info about it please im desperate
I installed the new firmware update 31.0.017 and it killed my N95. GPRS does not work properly anymore. Outgoing calls are not possible (SIM is ok). Incoming calls are frequently not allowed. The menu is slow as molasses, the phone simply hangs up. Thanks Nokia. :-((
The new version has following good effects on my nokia.
*Fast
*stable for me
bad effects:
*unhackable
*can’t downgrade
I updated to this and my phone seesm to be slower but the worse thing is that when i sent a text message it actually sends out 4 messages ! It goes straight into the outbox saying ‘resend at (whatever time), then send that, but goes back into the outbox again…until it ends up saying failed..
In the meantim, my mate has received 4 messages !
Tries reinstalling again but no good,,,,,what can i try next !!! New phone?!?
Another mess up my Nokia ?!?!
