Today I’ll show you how to convert videos for your Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, iPhone or whatever device in just a few steps. It’s easy as nothing, you don’t need to select any bitrates, codes or so. All you need is a little freeware application called XMedia Recode which you can be downloaded for free here.
After you installed the application open XMedia Recode and click on ‘Open File’ and choose the file you want to convert. Once you done that just select your profile, so your manufacture as well as the device’s name. Finally hit the video clip, click on ‘Add Job’ and hit ‘Encode’. Depending on how big the file is it takes some minutes/hour until you can drop the encoded video to your handset and enjoy it than.

As you can tell, this is really simple and fast. Of course, if you don’t like the pre-configured preferences you can changed them to improve the quality or to minimize the filesize but for me it’s fine. XMedia Recode is available for Windows 2000, XP and Vista. Apparently I haven’t found a version for Mac.
Here a video showing how smoothly and good the videos look on my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic:
