New Firmware also available for the Nokia N96 v30.033

Following the release of the Nokia N97’s firmware update to v11.0.021, Nokia has also provided the 2008 flagship with a new update to v30.033, rescuing it from the pitiful state it has been existing in all this time. The new firmware has been long awaited and is available via Nokia Software Updater and FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air). To download the new firmware using FOTA dial *#0000# at the home screen and the device manager will open. Then press options and check for updates.
Unfortunately there is no official changelog however reports suggest that the firmware v30.033 brings stability improvements, making the device faster and more responsive and fixes a few bugs. Branded devices will need to wait as per usual until the new firmware gets approved by their network.

My N96 (RM-247, Code: 0573063) is still at 12.403 firmware, tried PC Suite / Nokia Software Updater and FOTA and both say no update found – kind of bugging me…as N96 is (as i can now admit after using 5800) abit slow.
