Samsung I8910 Omnia HD Firmware-Update IG2 finally available

The long awaited firmware update for Samsung’s flagship device, the I8910 aka Omnia HD, is finally available for certain product codes. Version IG2 is available via the Samsung PC Studio 7. In order to get the update ensure you have the latest version of the PC Studio as well as the Sim card inserted. Before updating don’t forget to back up all your data. An official changelog isn’t available yet but we will add it as soon as we have it in our hands. Besides adding new games, Poker and Brain Challenge, the update fixes some minor bugs.The biggest change, however, is that the poor AMR audio quality has been replaced with a better AAC quality when recording at 720p.

pc studio update works only with italian firmware. you may want to flash your ROM. check out this tutorial before you do.

Problem is my pc studio tells me my device doesn’t support update – I’ve heard from Samsung helpdesk in Poland it is possible only in authorised service and payed!!! it’s some kind of joke OS update (I mean fixing bugs in software) is payed. Has anyone idea how to solve problems with e.g. “help” function, media player, problems with keeping own personalized ring tone (for time to time my ring tone switches to default).
Can’t seem to get thru the update. Why on earth is the update limited with the intense competition out there. If i don’t get this done still, then, it isn’t worth it!

thats it! fu*c pc studio, it allways fucks up had to reinstall 10times yust to take backup of phone instead of drag folders over -.-. now going for debrand and all it takes to get custom and do real stuff than a locked phone…..
