I realize that for a 10 gram earpiece there's not much choice but to use a non-removable rechargeable cell, and as those things cost around 20 dollars, it's not tragic if you have to replace it after a year or two. But for a 300 dollar stereo headset it's scary. I'd much prefer the approach of the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 which uses a standard AAA cell. OK, that makes the headset a little bigger, but who cares? The BH-905 is not exactly small to begin with, and other perfectly good headsets (like those used by DJ's, avaition pilots, etc) are much larger. With devices like ipods there's a known aftermarket in replacement cells but I'd have to have some reassurance about replacing the cell in the BH-905 before I could think about buying it. I have the 905 for 3 weeks now and its a brilliant stereo headphone it sits perfect on my head the ANC works very good...the controls r very easy 2 use. I had a numbers of headphone's like JVC ,Jabra, and several sennheiser' s but the 905 is the best by far... first of all a very good review normen al aspects of the BH 905 are in this review.
