nokia n95 8gb 02 low Reasons why to buy a N95 8Gb

N95 or N95 8GB, that’s the question. A lot N95 user are thinking about buying the new N95 8GB which got a lot new improvements. If you don’t know why you should spent 600€ for a new Nseries device, are here some reason why to do that.

Main reasons:

8GB internal memory:
The N95 8GB has, like the name already says, 8GB internal memory. Now you can save about 2000 (4 Mb per song) songs or other data on your N95 8GB. Okay, 8GB microSD cards will be available for the N95 in some month, but if you bear in mind that such a big memory card makes your phone slower, it’s better to take the N95 8Gb.

Bigger screen:
The N95 8GB has a huge 2.8” display in QVGA resolution. A grow of 0.2” which you can really see. Nokia had redesigned the whole upper slider to place a bigger screen. Now you can enjoy your favorite Videos, podcast, pictures or other things on the huge 2.8’’ display.

Stronger battery:
Faster, better, stronger – that seems to be the new slogan of the N95 8GB. It has now a stronger 1200 mAh battery which is one of the importantly improvements Nokia mades. The original N95 has a 950 mAh battery which is to less for a multimedia device. As a multimedia user you use the GPS, W-Lan, camera and the mucicplayer.

More Ram:
82MB RAM after Boot, that is a big improvement. The N95 has only 20MB RAM after boot which is to less for for a multimedia phone. The 82MB RAM are enough to run the musicplayer and the internetbrowser at the same time.

Other reasons:

Blistered multimediakeys

New multimedia menu

Better built quality

hey wat bout the fact that N95 8GB has a lot of features missin in comparison to N95!!!

Can anyone help me with the comparison.
Does this new phone hav a mem card slot??

  • Anonymous

Dude you’re so naive you’ve left out the cons. What about the lens protector and the fact that you’re unable to swap memory cards?
Many of the net have tested and the new SDHC cards DO NOT slow down the phone.
One more thing, by the beginning of next year, Toshiba will be releasing 16GB and 32GB SDHC microSDs. Isnt that something you should add in? I’ve done my own research, better to stick with the original n95 (N95-1)

you should buy the n95-3 version. it has all the upgrades of the N95 8gb except (obviously) the 8gb and the bigger screen. It still has the memory expansion slot – AND it’s 100 bucks cheaper

    hi,
planning to buy a N95. a post above mentions about n95-3 version …
Q1>is it available in PUNE ? whats its price in Indian Rupees ? …

Q2>also the official NOKIA NSERIES website says max accessible (expandable) memory for N95 to be 4GB … so can the extra memory on 4+ GB cards be used without hiccups? …

    Q3>planning to buy a 6GB card … should I go for it on N95?

  • nipun

Want to have a look alike ogf n95 8gb. just buy yhr kit i mean the cover and send it to any nokia shop. they will fix it for u . and moreover I will cost u about 25 pounds in total to get that ALL done.

Shop smart guys and make smart decision. N95 for free with your original n95. scandisk is aLso coming with even more memory card so why spend big money on N95 8 gb when I can get the same looks for 25 pounds. WILL WAIT FOR THE NEXT MIRACLE FROM NOKIA.

  • Banchox

Listen people, how can you seriously discuss that ? the original N95 has 160 mb for appz, while the new one has only 100! Isnt THAT embarassing to you ??? Have you ever heard of such a degrading ? Why doesnt anyone say that 8Gb is for data storage only ? I will keep my original one and buy me a microsd instead….what would make sense is a touch screen and YES, NEW GPS MODULE, like the new SIRF, because the present one really sucks!!! Am I not right?

  • http://Charlie Charlie

is the sound quality of n95 8gb vs n81 still bad? n81 still rules? please do a similar test like you did last time for n91 vs n95

  • mama

is there another edition of n95 coming soon? n95-3?

  • Daniel

The N95-3 is a version created for the North American market. It runs on 3G networks (HSDPA) in the US, while the N95-1 does not. The N95 8GB supports only 2100 Mhz WCDMA spectrum. The N95-3 also has 25% more battery life than the N95-1. And more “RAM” memory (I guess 160MB, against around 30MB in the N95-1), which leaves more space for running programs and avoid crashes and out of memory messages; it also speeds up the camera startup. But I still have one question about the N95-3, since I colud not find yet a complete specs list for the N95-3: if it also runs on GPRS networks or only GSM and 3G (there is only one 3G operator here in Brazil – unfortunatelly not mine… – and GPRS works fine for my needs, so the N95-3 would be perfect for me. I prefer to have external memory cards to swap)

I have been reading reviews, watched videos on this phone, comparisons so on and so forth and I have come to a conclusion. The N95 8GB seems to be a wothy improvement. It contains a GPS, 5.0 megapixel camera, and a more than decent amount of space for music and other media. Point taken that these features are located on the original N95. The only difference now is that don’t need to worry about your phone crashing because the RAM on your phone can’t handle the amount of programs operating simultaneously. The N95 is sexy, sleek, and flashy. It’s dark colors don’t distract from the screen. That’s what really makes the sceen look brighter. The Screen is bigger and the Slider on the N95 8GB doesn’t seem to have a problem. As with the old N95 is seemed to be a recurring trend that the slider began to get loose and eventually not hold tight. Ofcourse it would be nice to have the phone in touch sceen, but if you’d like that then buy the iPhone. The N95 8GB has been named the world’s greatest “Phone” because at the end of the day that’s what it really is. It’s a phone. Apple is known for it’s slow wireless connectivity, and that’s what puts this new phone on top. It has a better camera, easy to use, and great capabilities. It’s a shame that this phone doesn’t have the mini-SD card slot, but then again you can’t have everything. Camera, GPS, MP3 Player, a Phone and so much more…what more could you ask for?

  • shiras

when considering all the facts it seems this phone is a great edition. i wonder is this a 3G phone

  • http://rediffmail akshay

as this phone has all unique feature which enables all of us to be attracted . it also has navigation option as compare to 6110 navigator so i can say that all you want is this

  • AHO

I have a standard Nokia N95 but it always creates problems like turning off itself while listening to music & attending a call & also its microphone goes in mute itself every other day, so I think NOKIA is a dog shit phone so I’m not going to waste my money on another NOKIA again and I am going to get rid of it & buy a SAMSUNG instead ……

Reasons I like my Nokia N95 8gb better than N95:

    1-Bigger screen
2-It is Black. Look way better
3-Lense cover on N95 gives it “cheaper phone” look. Like it better without the cover
4-8GB memory – didn’t have to buy an Extra card
    5-Battery has larger capacity.

N95 Software Problems. Would like to know if someone else had this issue:

    1. Gives a “Disconnected. Want to connect again?” when playing YouTube videos over secured WiFi. Any suggessions?

    Thanks
