Nokia N97: How to use Copy and Paste
Posted by Norman John in N-Series, N97, N97 2.0, Nokia
Although the Nokia N97 has a full QWERTY keyboard there was no easy way to copy and paste a text. The lack of a control key made it pretty difficult and the solution was not optimized properly. Now, with the new 2.0 Firmware update, it’s finally possible to copy a text easily using the QWERTY keyboard. This makes texting even easier and much more comfortable. Though copy and paste isn’t supported on web pages you can use it in any other situation like copying an address from an e-mail and pasting it into a contact’s detail. So without further ado, heres what you need to do:

First, you need to highlight the text you want to copy by holding the shift key. Once you highlighted the text keep a hold of the shift key and you will see a ‘Copy’ option on the right hand side of the screen. Pressing that will save the text to the clipboard. If you want to paste the copied text simply hold down the shift key again and hit ‘Paste’ on the right hand side of the screen. And that’s how to copy and paste on the Nokia N97.

Nice article.

Thank’s pro
The question is: does this really work everywhere? For example in website password login forms or for the wlan key?? That’s where the pre v20 copy&past using the onscreen keyboard completely failed.
