Shortcut Keys on the Nokia E72 QWERTY Keypad

E72 Shortcut Keys 300x167 Shortcut Keys on the Nokia E72 QWERTY KeypadShortcut keys are generally designed to speed up the way we do things, with the shift and FN keys allowing multiple uses for a single key. There are many shortcuts available on the Nokia E72 which can be used in many different applications. In a previous post we introduced Nokia’s secret codes (which is definitely worth a look if you haven’t already seen it). Now we’re delivering you most of the Nokia E72 shortcut keys.

Keylock:
[Left softkey] + [Right softkey]= Keylock

Longpress on the homescreen:
[ctrl]= Switch Profile To Silent/General
[0]= Opens The Browser
[sym]= Switching Bluetooth On/Off
[*]= Activate Voice Control For Music (Artist/Song Name)
[Space bar]= Torch On/Off
[Homekey]= Show All Open Applications
[Left Selection Key]= PlayUnread Messages
[Right Selection Key]= Activate Voice Control For Applications & Contacts
[end key]= Deactivate Data Connection (if applicable)

Messaging:
[Shift]= Caps Lock On/Off
[Shift]+[Return]= Selecting Notes/Messages
[Shift]+[up/down on the d-pad]= Selecting Several Notes/Messages
[Shift]+[left/right on the d-pad]= Highlighting Text
[Shift]+[C]= Copy
[Shift]+[V]= Paste
[Shift]+[A]= Select All
[FN]= Num Lock On/Off
[FN]+[Space]= Text Input Options & Symbols
[sym]= Select Symbols

Browser
[0]= Go To Homepage
[1]= Show Toolbar
[2]= Search
[3]= Previous Page
[4]= Save As Bookmark
[5]= Keypad Shortcuts
[6]= Reload
[7]= Full Screen
[8]= Page Overview
[9]= Go To Web Address
[*]= Zoom In
[#]= Zoom Out
[enter]= Select

Real Player
[*/2]= Fullscreen/Normal Screen
[#]= Sound On/Off
[D-pad/Scroll up/down]= Volume Up/Down
[D-pad left/right] = Fast Forward/Rewind
[enter] = Play/Pause

    I am facing a lot of problems with my nokia e72. The spacebar doesn’t seem to be working sometimes. When i press the silent key to activate the silent profile. it gets activated after a moment again changes to general profile. Plese HELP !

    i know theres a different shortcut to unlock my e72.. but im not sure what it is..
    all i know is that it involves holding down a particular button. but im not sure which one it was.. help me out?

    When in keylock on mode, press and hold navi button – will display time and date. Handy in dark.

    to mark press the shift button and press enter. or yung can press the shift button and use the arrow keys to navigate what you want to mark

    to switch to silent mode try pressing # and holding it it might work

    In MusicPlayer: Mark/Unmark is very awkward Ctrl+Enter. I found Ctrl-Dpad marking/unmarking two adjacent file at the same time

    Try Ctrl A, Ctrl C, and Ctrl V for select all text, copy selected text, and paste copied text. It works fo me
