New Firmware Update for the Nokia E55 v33.002 New Firmware Update for the Nokia E55 v33.002

Thanks To All About Symbian, we’ve come to learn that the Nokia E55, Nokia’s Hybrid-QWERTY candybar, has just received a new firmware update taking it from v31.012 to v33.002. The 3.8MB update brings Ovi Maps 3.3 to E55 users and contains various bug fixes and optimizations. Unfortunately there is no official changelog but we will update this article as soon as we know more. The new firmware will gradually make its way round to you over the coming weeks depending on your region and product code.

The new firmware can be installed by typing *#0000# from the dialer and then selecting ‘check for updates.’ If it is not available over-the-air, you can update via the Nokia Software Updater (NSU) or Ovi Suite on your PC. Although the 5800XM supports User Data Preservation (UDP), we still recommend you make a full back up before updating your device.
