Win one of nine free ABBYY Business Card Reader licensesTogether with ABBYY we are giving away nine full licenses of ABBYY Business Card Reader. In case you do not know this application, ABBYY Business Card Reader 2.0 is a handy application for Nokia smartphones running on  S60 3rd or 5th Edition which allows users to transfer contact information from business cards directly to the Nokia address book by using the smartphone camera and ABBYY’s text recognition technology. It helps people save time and effort typically spent on typing in names, phone numbers, e-mails and other key information. To add new contacts, users need to simply start the application on their device and take a picture of a business card. The program will scan and “read” this picture, automatically extract contact data from it and enter the data into appropriate fields of the mobile address book. The application promises to be of great use and value to business professionals and anyone who communicates with many people in work and personal life.

The application is available in the Ovi Store with a price tag of 19,99€. That’s quite a bit and so we are giving nine of you the chance to get a free license.

All you have to do is to leave a comment and let us know what we could or should improve here on SymbianWorld. If you wish you also have the opportunity to double your chances of winning this prize, by writing a post in your blog or forum and linking it back to SymbianWorld. Be sure to send us the link in your comment.  The contest closes at midnight on the 10th of May.

I think you guys should update news faster, that way it will attract more people to the site. Also, the site loads pretty slow for me. I don’t know if it’s my location, or your server.

Thanks for this post on business card reader. I enjoy the multiscanner built into my E72 but somehow it is not working any more despite me reinstalling. It will be great for this site to go a little bit more in depth into the reviewed apps so reader can get a little bit more before buying. cheers

I think the site can be lighter. Too many things on the screen confuses who is reading the news.

I like the blog cause keeps me informed on many Symbian news but I agree with Jason, you should post more news, An idea is to post reviews on more Symbian Apps, “App of the week” title comes to my mind. Also I think you need a redesign of the blog to be more attractive.

I actually like the site as it is, but perhaps it could use more contests like this one. Advertiser gets room to promote his product. We get a chance to get something we could really enjoy, for free and gets us back faster on the site to see what other promo’s are on. More viewers, more input, more advertisers. A win-win-win situation I would say!

    Cheers!

I think you guys are doing a great job. Please have phone specific mini site to attract users. Cheers!
