Nokia 5800 Firmware Update – v50.0.005

Does anybody knows when this update gets released in the netherlands? I’m still stuck at V31.0.101

Hi,
if you got a branded device, the firmware update will have a huge delay. My sisters 5800 is E-Plus branded and is stuck on 3.x too.
If you want, you can ask your lokal Nokia service partner to change the product code. This is not free, about 35€ I think. The updates will be available immediately then.

Touch vibration is changed with v50. My Level 2 works as 1 and 1 works as 2… Or something like that. Dont know how 3 is but lowest is 2 now…

@all: As I said – the different carriers want to “legalize” the new FWs and this takes time. Some companies like E-Plus Germany need at least half a year. This is what I experienced.
I assume the Quickoffice version is just the free Quickoffice Viewer. If it does not come with the FW, you can download it from http://www.quickoffice.com . It’s the free trial version which should continue to work as a viewer as the trial expires.

i just updated to this version in the netherlands, but i dont see quickoffice on the phone?
All the changelogs i found so far include this feature.

The biggest changes is the browser. You can see it can hold more than 3MB. The previous version wont be able to continue with such ammount, the result, it suddenly shutdown.

i upgraded to v50…its horrible…cant view pictures n vdeos in gallery…

there is a bug in photo editing section

Hi guys! Nokia Software update varies from countries to countries. For all of you whose version 40.0.005 or version 50.0.005 are not yet available it might be that your network providers did not approve yet the latest software. However you can still update your software to latest version. I have tutorial on my site. Just visit http://jobzky.blogspot.com and look for the post “How to update your nokia 5800 software to version 40.0.005″. The steps are also applied to version 50.0.005.

hi i have uptadated to version 50.0.005 but quick office missing where is it?

i updated to v50. but its horrible… have issues with the tapping. i have to tap a few times b4 it works… b4 didn’t not have any issues…! gps nav is cool… gives me more options that work…
but since ths phone has slowed down.. i am not a happy customer so update at yr own risk..!

i had already updated my phone.
yup, i like the new update especially for the new features of the music player..

however, I’m a little bit disappointed with the player because there is no “Find or Search” option in it. If I’m searching for a song, i still have to scroll down and look for the song instead of typing in a keyword or a title. I have 2000 songs and i still have to scroll down and look one by one?
