SportsTracker: Export your workout to Google Earth
Posted by Norman John in Nokia, Sports Tracker![]()
In a previous post we introduced the new SportsTracker . In a nutshell, SportsTracker allows you to track your workout using GPS and provides you with information such as your speed, altitude and more. A really interesting feature is that one can export the workouts straight to Google Earth.
In order to do so, open the Sports Tracker application on your phone, choose your workout you want to export, click options, export and eventually export to Google Earth. Then you can choose where to save the file.

The next step is to transfer the file to your computer: the best and most convenient way is with the USB-cable in mass storage-mode. Now open Google Earth (download Google Earth here) and press Strg+0 or choose File and then Open. The very last step is to select the exported file. Once in Google Earth a variety of information points are provided i.e your travel speed as well as your highest and lowest altitudes.
