Nokia N8 to be available in late August?

According to Engadget’s trusted source, the Nokia N8 will be available August 24th. The N8 is Nokia’s first Symbian^3 device and comes equipped  with a 12 megapixel camera, 720p video recording and more eye candy as previous Nokia devices.  Actually this date would be rather late, as Samsung, HTC and Apple will be have introduced their new generation of smartphones by then for sure.  Whether the N8 gets against the new iPhone 4G or whatever HTC will announce remains to be seen. As we highlighted in our N8 Preview, the launch date is essential for Nokia and the success of the N8.  Moreover, Amazon Germany is now officially taking preorders for the black Nokia N8 – the pricetag is currently at 469,50€.     It is very disappointing. Many gadget freaks are waiting for Nokia N8, because the new Symbian version.

    It would be even more dissapointing if the N8 comes in late August and still has some software bugs
