  15. Hi thurein,

The Y-Browser can be found in the phones’ main-menu.

You can use all fonts which are in the *.ttf format.

    Dear Christian,
Same way can be used for S60 v5 devices such as Nokia 5800 xm, i done it my self with a success.
    My question is:
Can i have 2 different languages fonts to be in the same time? since in my first trail i tried a font which read English but shown boxes with the Arabic language. Now iam using Tahoma font which can read both English and arabic but iam looking for a bigger font to read both languages, or to use a big font for english and another font for Arabic, can it be done?
you said: (6. Make a new folder called “Fonts”, and copy the font you´ve chosen in this folder. Paste it as many times as you need it and rename it exactly like the names you´ve written down before (nohindisnr60, …) – can you give more details about this step.

  17. Hi thermax04,

Thanks for the information about S60 5th devices.

I don’t know which fonts can be read in different languages, but if I were you I would try all the “standard-fonts” like Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, etc.

About the 6th step: You need to copy the font you want to use as many times as there are the different names. E.g. if there are 5 different names of the fonts you need to copy your font 5 times and rename it with all the different file-names.

  18. jonathan_ckf says:

help me please!!…its doesnt work..I’m using nokia 5800…Is it i have to create a new folder and renamed it Fonts, then paste 3 fonts i choose in my computer and rename all of them as what i written just now? Then, where should i paste? When i go in my memory card with cable, there is a Resource file…paste in it? After that?

  19. Kaim says:

    Well….
    You can try font router.
I tried to change the font with font router and it works great.

  20. nisar says:

i removed the font and reboot my cell……my cell gets connected to the mass storage but some files cannot be copied….it says FILE DIRECTORY CANNOT BE MADE.what does that mean….please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Hi nisar,

Maybe your memory card is read-only, so that your PC can’t write on it?

  22. nisar says:

    thnx christian!!!!!!!

But still , earlier it used to copy everythng and now sometimes it gets copied n somtims it shows that file directory cant b made…………n if my memory card is read only , what shud i do 2 correct it>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>thnx in advance…..

  23. Try to format your whole memory-card (be careful, everything on it will be deleted!), and give it another try. Maybe it will work then.

Dude, i have a Nokia E71. I understood every step but the problem I’m facing is that whenever I create the folder ‘resource’ in the root folder of my memory card, it doesn’t wanna create it. Creating folders with different names work just fine but creating the ‘resource’ folder doesn’t work. It keeps on failing. Solution required please…

For those who are having problems with S60SC.ccc and S60TCHK.ccc:
All you need to do is to change the file format on the font that you are going to use.
    Here’s how:
    1. Once you have chosen your font and renamed it to the following format:
    S60SC
    S60TCHK
    S60ZDIGI
    • the default format of the first 2 fonts would be:
    S60SC.ttf
    S60TCHK.ttf
and that’s the reason why it is not working.

    2. Identify the file format:
    • Open the “Fonts” folder that you created
    • Go to Tools Menu > Folder Options> View
    • Remove the check on “Hide extensions for known file types”
    • Then you’ll be able to see the extension file types of the font, which was mentioned above.

    3. Change the file extension:
    • Right click the font named as S60SC.ttf and S60TCHK.ttf
    • Remove “.ttf” and change it to “.ccc”
    • There would be a warning message, just ignore it and click OK.
    • Now, you’ve successfully change the file format of the 2 fonts to .ccc and you can now resume to the steps on how to change font on your phone.

  39. dillip says:

when you install any software to internal hard disk like n91’s hard disk , then we will not be able to access the hard disk as mass storage.Solution:
    1.Switch off your phone
    2. remove the back cover of battery (just the cover, not the battery)
    3. re/start the phone. Since the phone’s battery cover is removed the phones hard disk will not be detected.
4.once the phone is completely started, put the battery cover back again.
    5. go to the application manager, and try to uninstall the font.
    hope this helps
