Erratum: Nokia N8 does not support DivX/Xvid natively

Yesterday we reported that the Nokia N8 will play DivX files. Now, Blog-N8.fr said, that the N8 will not support DivX and yesterday’s news was a misunderstanding. Nokia France contacted the blog and said:   Nokia N8 does not support files encoded with the DivX codec natively. I do hope that there will be a way to easily watch DivX, especially since the N8 is such a media monster.  Here you can see the list of supported codecs:
