Firmware version 30.0.009 is available for many product codes from almost all regions. The exact product variants can be found below. Supporting UDP (User Data Preservation) you do not have to worry about backing up your data. In order to get v.30.0.009 you can use either the Nokia Software Updater or update it straight from your 5530 Xpress Music.

Version 30.0.009 includes following changes:

  • Character missing  with Pin Yin input
  • Key pad tones do not work after updating with SW 20.0.080 800
  • LCD backlight stays on after charging,
  • Unable to download stream video in YouTube via WLAN.
  • Problem with some o2 sim-cards – SW hangs up in settings menu

    My phone’s code is 0590825 and I still get the message
    Latest available software for your device: Version:: 20.0.080
    from Nokia’s website, but if I type in one of the codes listed above it tells me the latest is 30.09.009!? Do you know if and when they’re going to release the new update for the code numbers not listed above?

    I have the same issue as Nick. My phone was purchased in the US. It seems Nokia is giving up on the US. They recently closed their flagship stores in New York and Chicago. I guess they can’t compete with the iPhone and Balckberry.

    Hi, I recently upgraded my 5530 to version 30.0.009. everything went ok and the phone is working pretty much as expected. But I just found out that chinese language support seems to have been “M.I.A.” after the upgrade? I’m not sure what went wrong, any help would be much appreciated!

    I also updated my 5530 to version 30.0.009. everything is okay except a major problem. I can’t use my music anymore. I have a message saying, “searching music and podcasts” for hours.. and nothing. it still there.
