No doubt, the N95 and the W960i are great phones with a bunch of multimedia features. Both of them feature a good camera, the N95 a 5 Megapixel camera and the W960i a 3.2 Megapixel camera. However, if you take a look at the back of the device you’ll see that the N95 has ”just” one LED whereby the W960i has two little but bright LEDs. So, which LED is more powerful and causes better pictures? To answer this question I’ve taken several pictures in bad light conditions (almost no light) and in different distances. So, let the battle begin:
Left: N95 right: W960i (click to enlarge)
Macro:
As you can see, the results of the W960i aren’t that good. They are to bright so you can’t see that much details. N95′s results are great, good pictures and good colors.
Medium distance:
None of the results are perfect. The N95 is a little bit to dark and the W960i to bright. Anyway, I think both results are acceptable.
Distance > 2m:
I think everybody can see who won. W960i’s results are ways to dark, although its LED was much brighter in the first four examples. Anyway, the middle of W960′s pictures are bright, but the more you look into the edges the darker it becomes. The N95′s flash, however, is pretty evenly and bright . You can see more details and the colors are more powerful, too.
Verdict:
All in all I can say, that the N95 has the better flash for low-light conditions. N95′s colors are pretty good and you can see more details. The W960i’s flash , however, is either to dark or to bright.
