The North American version of the Nokia N78 just got a new firmware. Firmware v12.046 is available “over the air”, which means that you can update your phones’ software via Wi-Fi. This firmware update is the same as the one that the European users got a few weeks ago.

Changelog by Nokia:

This software release includes a number of performance improvements including softkey selection, Bluetooth stability, video playback, email sending and alarm clock functions. This software release is available though either the Nokia Software Updater or directly through your Nokia N78.

To get this software through your Nokia N78, click Menu > Tools > Utilities > Device Manager. Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts. Remember that you can also use Wi-Fi to download the update.
