Nokia N95: New Firmware v.30.0.015

We already reported that the N95 8GB gets a new Firmware. Now also the Nokia N95 received a new Firmware. Version 30.0.015 brings following changes:

Changes:
- first thing I want to mention – startup time decreased to 15-16 sec.;
- on the desktop there is “share online” option, under WLAN scan;
- added 5th theme, dark one;
- BUILT-IN AUTOROTATE. works fine!;
- renewed standart icons (some are changed, some – just got smaller);
- some camera improvements. colors of the picture are closer to original;
- youtube video works fine, meaning update for flashlite3;
- maps 2.0.

I have lost the ability to select ring/alert tones. When I go into Settings/Personalisation/Tones, the only options I get for changing a tone are ‘download’ or ‘off’. If I select ‘off’, I don’t even get to go back to default! I have my own tones that I like to use. Completely impossible to select them.

Hello….
I am having troubles.
The NSU says that my Nokia N95 is Up to Date…
With the version 12.0.13. And the version available is 12.0.13
So.. do not exists the version. I have proved with many versions of NSU but still the same message..

SOMEONE CAN HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

Try reading the excellently written guide at http://www.simplysymbian.com/2007/05/02/how-to-upgrade-your-nokia-n95-firmware/

There you will find, that you must use the NSS software tool, to update your product code manually. It is a very simple, 5 minute job, and will enable you to use the latest 30.0.015 firmware.

the downside to changing your product code is that it could invalidate your warranty ! why do nokia make it so complicated ?

My ring tone problem is solved – copy them to the phone, remove the extra memory card and then choose the tones. Then yo ucan put the card back in. All works fine.

hi there… after i install the new firmware everything works fine, since one day i discovered that, when u are in video camera mode..and ur setting is for it is in TV HIGH QUALITY .. problem.. arises! for the starting few second when u start capturing video it will like LAG a bit ( lag like every sec the video will HANG then..keep lagging till after 20+ secs then only become smooth) i hope u guys have any solution or idea about it..and is it possible to downgrade it??

i changed the product code on mine to get the new firmware, 1 setting i have found is that now i now have the choice of dual mode or gsm only as im an on the 3 network, it stops the phone looking for the 3g network,
on the down side i seem to have lost the hotkey function

hi guys i hav problem in updating my firmware when updating from NSU it say ma version is the newest version it is 12.0.013, while on nokia website and entering my product code it says the update available is 31.0.014, plz guys help me

I have a problem about updating firmware of my N95 simple.
When i open nokia’s website and select my device. it says that latest version is 35.0.002 but when i use nokia software updater it says version 31.0 somthing is latest. Please Help me about this problem, im from Asia, Pakistan.
