Nokia C7 NFC Anna NFC Enabled on Nokia C7 through Symbian Anna Update Plus More New Features The Symbian 3 family have finally received the Symbian Anna update through the roll out to all regions starting today. This update brings lots of improvements and new features to your current Symbian devices, Nokia N8, E7, C7 and C6-01.

NFC
On the other hand, Nokia C7 received the software tweak that it needed in order to enable it NFC capabilities. If you doesn’t now what is NFC, it’s a wireless technology that exists on some smartphones today. Through NFC we could use more our smartphones in many different tasks like wireless payment, data exchange and more.

Browser
With Symbian Anna, users could now experience a new improved web browser. It’s faster, fresher with new UI, and more reliable.

Portrait QWERTY
One of the most requested feature is finally here. With portrait qwerty keyboard you could do better and type faster.

Messaging
The messaging features on Anna are improved with E-mail and SMS client on new UI. Plus performance and security things have been improved too.

Nokia Maps and Office
We can also see an improved Nokia Maps on Anna update which brings new features like transport view, shareable routes and contents, etc. It’s also been noted that full version of Quick Office and Adobe are up with this update.

The update has just started rolling and by this week more regions will be covered by the said Anna update.

after updating my Nokia C7 to symbian anna my phone has almost turned into a black and white phone……..has anyone else experienced the same???

I have a nokia c6-01 and i updated my OS into Symbian Anna….
After the update my phone’s camera key is not working…
I can take pictures with the key, But i cannot access the camera from the home screen using this key….

Hello, did you tried to reinstall the update using Nokia Ovi Suite?

After I updated my Nokia E7 to Symbian Anna , some of the menus (Contacts, Messaging, Call-log, Settings, connectivity etc) turned black-and-white.
My current Device software version is 022.014. The main menu and the menus ‘office’ and ‘application’ have color though.

I reached out to Nokia customer care over phone, and the representative was clueless about the problem. He asked me to reinstall the software, and that didn’t help.

I have bought the phone in July-2011 and was quite happy with Symbian-3. Thinking Symbian-Ann is more advanced and better compared Symbian-3, I have updated to the former.
Since then, most of my menus have gone black-and-white. I am quite disappointed with this issue. Had I known about this issue, I would not have updated to Anna.

I have checked the above troubleshooting guide, but I didn’t find any mention about
symbian-Anna update turning the menu icons black-n-white. On the internet, several users are reporting the same issue after they updated to Symbian-Anna.

Hi, try to reinstall Anna through Ovi Suite.

Apparently it’s the default colour scheme (i.e your stuck with black and white)

I tried reinstalling Anna and visited the nearby Nokia Care. They were clueless and couldn’t give me a fix for the black-and-white problem.

I suggest you hard reset your device..but be sure to sync and back up ur files using Nokia Ovi Suite.

Then try to update it again.

The menus aren’t black & white. Messaging has gone to grey scale icons & backgrounds are dark. I think it’s real cool. Answer for the disappointed ones = select a different theme…. Colours will be different then also…. Anna rocks! iPhone users eat your hearts out. Clunky Apples compared to cool, slender, sexy C7-00!

plz who an are having symbian anna dont upgrade to Symbian Belle this more worse than Symbian Anna, i have already installed and suffering, and the worst thing is u cant uninstall till u update with another symbian
