I finally managed to get my hands-on these fabulous devices and ask few questions on this and that. I’ve compared the N96, N78, N82 black, N95 8GB, and the N81 8GB. It took some effort to present the differences, and I managed to get everyone staring at me like I was a maniac.

That’s what it looks like to me, well the box is of a different colour, but the accessories included are the same as I had in my N95’s box. The earphones are different and the audio controller is of reduced functionality, but at a first specifications’ glance, the N82 seems like a N95 in a different form factor. The question is, is the only improvement on the N82 the camera only?

Well I could have named this test S60 vs S40, or NSeries vs Extreme-luxury phone, but I think that both phones have different qualities, and therefore the results will be different.
The N95 8GB uses a miniUSB connector to USB, and obviously has a 8GB flash memory, and no memory card slot. The 8800 Arte uses a microUSB connector to USB, and this port is also used for charging. The phone has 1GB flash memory and no memory card slot.

We had a close talk with someone inside Nokia, and we got a confirmation on the launch date! The best thing is that it’s not one device being officially launched, it’s three, and that should be the minimum.
Nokia usually launches them in fours, ironic, as this digit is considered bad luck in some countries.

Today I am interviewing Dr Jukka Silvennoinen, Senior Technology expert from Forum Nokia, a Certified Nokia Trainer, and a guest lecturer at a university in Thailand. Dr Jukka is known for his extensive contribution to the Symbian community and, of course to Forum Nokia. Dr Jukka is also admired by many Symbian programmers, and he was one of the founding members of Forum Nokia Champions reward program. It is my great honour to interview him, and I’m sure the world’s cell phone community is eager to read what this talented programmer has to say.
Dr Jukka, I thank you once again for accepting my invitation, and I thank the Nokia Press department as well for this opportunity.

This is truly for us to guess, as we have no clue whatsoever what the new device compromises of, but according to Cybette at her Jaiku, she received a prototype, and she is so excited about it, that she actually told (or teased) us.

Mark Guim posted an in-depth guide on how to play around with your Nokia Sports Tracker and Google Maps in order to achieve what Stavros does: Position Art.
Of course most of us aren’t as talented as Stavros, but now we can atleast give it a try.
Instructions:
Step 1. Use Sports Tracker on your phone to record your location data. You can choose to run, walk, or whatever and it will record your path.
Step 2. When You are done, select ‘Upload to Service’ on the workout summary screen on your phone. The data will be uploaded to Sports Tracker online.
Step 3. On the Sports Tracker website, the route will be displayed on a map. To get this map on our blogs, we need to download the data as KML file by pressing the KML button above the map.

This is an update to my post “Who Blogs Best?“, I hadn’t spoken about Wavelog in its full potential, but the Telewaving team was kind enough to send me a free copy of the program, so that I can complete the review.
The only thing I will focus on are the image, video, and audio uploads, and what happens to them when you insert them.
When blogging from the phone we will obviously upload phone content, that is pictures from our phone’s camera, video that we recorded using the camera, in some cases it can be great quality if you have a N95, N82 or N93, and more, and obviously sound recorded with the microphone, which would be useful in interviews or press conferences.
We first create a new post.

When the Nokia N78 was released, many were confused, and some still are confused on the purpose of a FM transmitter. Broadcasting audio output over FM radio can be useful, especially in a car, and it can be a replacement of the Bluetooth headset or car kit. Let’s try with a Nokia N95, which doesn’t have a FM transmitter built-in, but you can get one from any shop, at a cheap price.
You are going to hate me for that horrible flash that ruins the pictures, but I only get time at night to do write these articles, and at night….well there’s no sunshine.
