cheap verizon phones

As you all know I’ve had the Nokia N86 8MP for about a month now, and I’m currently working on the final part of the review. However today I want to share some of the interesting features I found regarding the built in motion sensor. A few well acknowledged features include the ability to auto-rotate the screen, use the device as a control during gaming, and of course, silence calls and snooze alarms, by simply flipping the device over during the alert. However, whilst browsing the internet on the N86 at night, I found a few nifty little features.

Light Sabre made its way to S60 5th Edition finally. Using the built in Accelerometer API of the N97 and the 5800 you can use your phone as a light sabre.  It’s offering you several settings such as volume, sabre colour and more. This application is of course freeware and really funny when you show it to your friends.
Although it is developed for and tested on the Nokia 5800 only, it should works with 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 devices like Nokia N96, Nokia N85, Nokia N79, 6210 Navigator, as well as to Nokia E66 which is based on the Feature Pack 1.

  • IMPORTANT install to internal memory ( C:/) drive (known defect)
  • For best results turn off auto screen rotation in phone settings (otherwise you’ll get lag in the sound when the screen changes)

Nokia5800XpressMusic Lifestyle 1 lowres Chris preview on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Although I haven’t played around with the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic yet, I want to bring you a little preview of it in this article.

One month ago Nokia announced their first touchscreen phone with Symbian S60. The touchscreen-version of the S60 OS is called S60 5th Edition.

On the web there are many videos, reviews and pictures of the device, but they all have one thing in common: The devices aren’t the final products that’ll be on sale in a few weeks.

In this article I want to bring you my impressions of this device so far. One thing I need to mention is that I haven’t used the device by myself, thus this preview is based on videos and hands-on’s of other people which already had the chance to play around with the 5800.

I’m sure you heard of the developer Samir Oueldi before. He’s very famous for applications like rotateMe and nokmote. A week ago we reported about a touchless user-interface for S60, developed by Samir. Today I want to show you a video of another great application by him which is in development right now – nAlertMe:

As everybody bought the Nokia N95 nobody knew that the N95 has sensor build in (Accelerometer) which is pretty useful for awesome application such as NokMote or Mirage Money. After some months developer started to write application which allows rotating the screen when you flip the device 90 degrees or to control the entire device by moving it. Of course Nokia saw this power and jumped on the train too. So, they finally integrated it into the devices and now we can find a lot devices such as the N95, N95 8GB, E66 and so on which rotate the display automatically. Now I’ve been playing with the Nokia 6210 Navigator a few days and noticed that this handy device also supports this nifty feature. I’d like to show you how the Nokia 6210 Navigator uses the Accelerometer API.

FlipSilent, the app which allows you to change the profile to Silent mode by flipping the device , is not out in v 1.06. The best thing about version 1.06 is that it’s  already signed. It works on all S60 3rd Edition phones with Accelerometer ( N95, N82, N95 8GB).

v20 screenshotv20 screenshot

As you can see, the new Firmware v20.0.016 brings automatic screen rotation, as you may know from the N82 or 3rd Party application like RotateMe, to the Nokia N95 8GB. Using the built in Accelerometer API you can rotate the screen by rotating the N95 8GB. Other than that some bugs has been fixed and Wi-Fi and Browser has been improved. Use the NSU to update your N95 8GB

Damien, based in Poland, is a young but quite good python developer. Now he brought the good old Snake back to our Nseries.

pySnake is a game which is using the Accelerometer API of the N95 , N95 8GB, N82 and the N93i to improve the gameplay of the quite old Snake game. So you can control the snake just by moving your Nseries. It’s a great and funny game, so don’t hesitate and download it for free.
