Snowboard Hero

Snowboard Hero is, as the name already hints, a snowboard game with severl game-modes. You can choose between speedrun, freestyle and a race. Basically, it is supposed to run on S60 3rd Edition devices only, however, it’s also possible to run it on touch-enabled devices. In this case you would have a onscreen-keyboard to control the game. If you own a Nokia N97 or a N97 Mini you can disable the onscreen-keyboard by going  to settings. Then open the App Manager,go to installed apps and find the game. Finally go to options, suite settings, on-screen keyboard and than change to OFF.

Download the game to your Nokia N96, Sony Ericsson Satio or your Samsung Omnia I8910 HD and enjoy the game.

It’s time for another update. We’ve just added further applications to the S60 5th Edition Download Section in which you can find tons of applications for your Nokia N97, Nokia N97 Mini, X6, 5530XM, 5800 XM, 5320 XM and your Samsung Omnia HD. Some of the new applications are MasterMind, Midomi and Labyrinth Lite. You’ve probably already seen MasterMind in the version with the colored pins in which the aim is to guess the secret code in a finite number of attempts. With Midomi you get a music recognition app which finds you the title, artist and album of any song you play, sing or hum. Read the rest of this entry »

I am a user of Nokia mobile-phones for several years by now. Actually I had many problems with the build-quality and other issues of all the phones by Nokia I have used. Unfortunately the time has gone by and not much except the features has changed. So I decided to write a post about all the issues I am „enjoying” with the company Nokia.

screenshot0001 Nokia 5320 XpressMusic: Say and Playscreenshot0002 Nokia 5320 XpressMusic: Say and Play

Last year Nokia announced the Nokia 5320 XpressMusic. A midtier S60 device with music focus. Besides dedicated music keys, gaming keys, a 2 megapixel camera, up to 24hours of playbacktime, 3G, USB2 transfer speed and all standard S60 features it has also a special function called Say and Play. Using the built in application you can say an title, album or artist and the application tries to playback the song. Of course you just can search for songs which are on your memory card or on the internal memory. You launch the application pretty easily by going into the menu, application and clicking on Music search. Another and more simple way is clicking the button above the display for three seconds. Theoretically, it sound pretty good but how about the reality? In the following video I’ve tested the function in different locations. Unfortunately I’ve deleted the part with the loud background noise. Anyhow, the video gives really a good overview I think.

As always my first post is a unboxing and hands on post feautering a video and some pictures. Is there anything you want to know about the 5320 XpressMusic? If so, please leave a comment.
