Good 3D games for the S60 5th Edition platform are rather rare. However, Polarbits is offering  three high quality 3D games: Raging Thunder (car racing game), Wave Blazer (power boat racing) and Armageddon Squadron (arcade flight simulator / shooter). Despite the good quality those games are free of charge. There are several gaming modes supported. A multiplayer-mode is also included. What we really like is the game-control. Using the accelerometer API you can control your boat, aircraft or car easly. Take a look at our video to see how the games work. Nokia Beta Labs have introduced Gig Finder, an application that helps you to find concerts and live music. Moreover, you can purchase tickets straight from your phone. Gig Finder works on all S60 5th Edition phones and can be downloaded right here. However, currently there are only the United States (USA), Canada, United Kingdom (UK), and Ireland supported.

• Easy Search. Quickly find where to find the best concerts & other music events near you. Search by artist, genre, city, venue, specific date, date range or a combination of any.
• Buy Tickets. Direct links connect your mobile to various ticket vendors to conveniently find the best seats & prices
• Smart Recommendations. Get recommendations for live events and venues based on your music tastes (profile & on device music library) and location
• Get Directions. See where the event is and how to get there with a direct link from Maps.
• Start the Buzz. Share information about the gig to Facebook, SMS, or Email.
• Download Music. Events link directly to the artist pages in Nokia Music Store / Ovi Music (when available in your country) so you can preview or download music before or after seeing your favourite artists live.

XpressCut is a simple but powerful application to cut and save songs directly on  your S60 5th Edition phone. Open XpressCut, select a song, set the start tag and the end. Once you pressed the save button it will create a new file and save the song. The quality of the new created file is good and can be send to your friends or can be used as a ringtone. Apparently, XpressCut is based on Phython and requires at least Python version 1.9.7. Install Python first and then XpressCut.

If you want uninstall multiple apps on a S60 device you can do it only one after the other, not several at once. This  is without a doubt a pain and takes some time.  With BatchUninstall, developed by Think Change, you can uninstall multiple application at once. You just need to select all apps you want to uninstall  and click ‘Delete Selected’. Batch Uninstall works on all S60 5th and 3rd edition devices.

Finally the folks of Microsoft have released an official Windows Live Messenger (MSN) application for all S60 5th Edition devices. Compared to applications like Fring or Nimbuzz it comes with a better interface and more Windows Live functions. Thus you can see all you contacts details including the status message and image.  So, if you own a Sony Ericsson Satio, Samsung Omnia HD, Nokia N97, 5800 XpressMusic or any other S60 5th Edition device you can download it for free.

How often have you accidentally disconnected your headset from your phone? This is really annoying, especially when the music is disturbing others around you. Now we found a useful application that will stop the music as soon as you disconnect the headset. ‘For Your Ears Only’ is a simple application so it has no fancy UI. Rather it’s a prototype that should be implemented in further devices. Unfortunately ‘For Your Ears Only’ does not have an autostart function. Nonetheless, if you have this problem from time to time you should install this freeware application. It works on all S60 5th Edition devices such as the Nokia N97, 5800 XM, 5530XM and all other.

Igor aka kAIST is without a doubt a really talented developer. Now he brought us a new and powerful drawing application. XpressSketch works on all S60 5th Edition devices such as the Nokia N97, 5530, 5800, X6 and the 5230. Although there is a lot effort in the software it’s completely for free. As already said, XpressSketch isn’t a simple drawing app but rather a powerful drawing tool offering following features:

It’s time for another update. We’ve just added further applications to the S60 5th Edition Download Section in which you can find tons of applications for your Nokia N97, Nokia N97 Mini, X6, 5530XM, 5800 XM, 5320 XM and your Samsung Omnia HD. Some of the new applications are MasterMind, Midomi and Labyrinth Lite. You’ve probably already seen MasterMind in the version with the colored pins in which the aim is to guess the secret code in a finite number of attempts.
