I am pretty positive that you all know how Nokia is naming most of their devices. They are using four-digit numbers like 6210 or 5000.

There is no doubt that with so many devices on the market today and only rearranged digits to represent them, one can easily get confused with which is which. Newer devices with lesser numbers may also misguide consumers when searching for the latest handset. This issue was also confirmed in a recent poll conducted by Nokia.

nokia logo Nokias New Naming Convention: Does it make any C E N X to you? This is the very reason why Nokia has decided to rethink its ’series’ branding, and put more meaning into naming its handsets. Nokia’s ’series’ brand will now begin to represent a clearer classification of devices and segment solution based priority in handsets more prominently. Snowboard Hero

Snowboard Hero is, as the name already hints, a snowboard game with severl game-modes. You can choose between speedrun, freestyle and a race. Basically, it is supposed to run on S60 3rd Edition devices only, however, it’s also possible to run it on touch-enabled devices. In this case you would have a onscreen-keyboard to control the game. If you own a Nokia N97 or a N97 Mini you can disable the onscreen-keyboard by going  to settings. Then open the App Manager,go to installed apps and find the game. Finally go to options, suite settings, on-screen keyboard and than change to OFF.

Download the game to your Nokia N96, Sony Ericsson Satio or your Samsung Omnia I8910 HD and enjoy the game.

Just like the desktop version if you can call your sykpe contacts, write IMs, sent files and much more. It looks and works pretty good. Skype for Symbian works over Wifi or 3G data connection. We recommend having a unlimited data plan when using 3G connection.

Skype for Symbian supports:

DSCF3315Well, touch-screens are almost everywhere but of course there are still phones without touch-screens. One of which is the new Nokia E72. The slim qwerty business device is the successor of the really popular of the Nokia E71. In a few days or weeks we’ll know if the latest Eseries flagship, the E72, can slip into the E71’s big footsteps. As always he have first the unboxing for all of you who are waiting it. In the box you can find following accessories:

  • 4GB microSD card
  • 2.5mm charger (AC-8E)
  • Headset (WH-601)
  • 1500mAh battery (BP-4L)
  • microUSB cable (CA-101D)
  • case
  • cleaning cloth
  • Manual

I really love to see that Nokia again put a nice carrying case into the box. Unfortunately, the microUSB cable is  only 14cm. This is in my opinion to short. More over, is the charger 2.5mm and not microUSB. Although you can charge it via microUSB it has a 2.5mm socket. All in all my initial thoughts are pretty positive.
