Now Nokia’s Mail for Exchange has been updated to v.2.0.158. Allegedly it is available for almost all Nokia phones. However, the official homepage doesn’t show the installation file when choosing for example the 5800, E61i or the N82. Nonetheless I think version 2.9 will work on these phones in due course. So far it is only available for the Nokia E51, E63, E66, E71, N73 and N95 8GB. Head over to download MfE 2.9 and to get further information.
The Nokia Beta Labs really stand for funny, useful and inoviate applications. Now they introduced Nokia Magnifier. It uses your phone camera as a magnifier to improve the readability of fine prints such as billings or bookpages. Nokia Magnifier has a built in stabilizer to reduce the effects of a shaky hand and negative filter enabling users to switch from light to dark backgrounds improving readability. By using the existing camera technology, users can also snap a picture of the enhanced image for later reference. Of course this application is free for download. However, it doesn’t work on the new S60 Feature Pack 2 devices devices but only on devices like the N95, N82 or the E90.
I am a user of Nokia mobile-phones for several years by now. Actually I had many problems with the build-quality and other issues of all the phones by Nokia I have used. Unfortunately the time has gone by and not much except the features has changed. So I decided to write a post about all the issues I am „enjoying” with the company Nokia.
As you may know there are many codes which can be entered in the home-screen of your Nokia S60 device, e.g. to see what firmware your device has. Because there are so many of those, and not everyone does even know of them, we decided to write this guide for you.
Some of the following codes can reset your phone or change settings, so please make sure to know what you’re doing with entering a code – there’s a description below every code, read it first! Besides the following codes we also give standard knowledge like how to open the Task-manager or switch the profile in an instance.
Over on Nokia Beta Labs I’ve found one new application and a update of another application. Nokia Image Exchange basically uploads your pictures to its own service in just a couple of seconds. Currently services like Flickr or Ovi aren’t supported. The mobile and web interface are synchronized so you can upload, publish & browse pictures on your mobile. Of course you can decide whether you keep them for your own or show them to the public or just to your friends. Than Enhanced Calculator gets finally an update. This calculator offers you more functions than the pre-installed calculator and is of course for free. Just jump over to download it or to get more information. Most S60 3rd Edition devices should support these two application, however, there are a few issues with some devices but you should give it a try.
Nokia Betalabs just released a new application. The new application is called “Nokia Chat” and as you can guess it’s for chatting via your device. You can also share your location and do some other great things.
Nokia Chat is more than just messaging. You can share your status and your location, giving you physical presence! Start a Nokia Chat with your friends with instant and voice messaging and finish it face-to-face. Get together with Nokia Chat – it’s where we are now.
You can find the official website of this new application here. However, before installing Nokia Chat ensure that you have installed the latest support file which you can get here.
Nokia Email is an application which automatically pushes your email from your IMAP or POP email account straight to your Nokia S60 device. According to the official website following devices are supported: the E51, E61, E61i, E65, E66, E71, E90, N73, N80, N81 8GB and the N95. However, yet I don’t know whether the N82, N95 8GB and so on are also supported. Anyway, although it’s just in beta phase you should give Nokia Email a chance, especially since it’s for free. Jump over to sign up.
The Nokia E61i was announced in February 2007 at the 3GSM conference in Barcelona besides the the E90 and the E65.
It is an ESeries-device with a full QWERTY-keypad. A few weeks ago I received a trial-device in the color “Mocha” and today I want to share my thoughts and experiences about this device with you in this review.
Almost two weeks ago I received the Nokia E61i. Today I want to share all of its “business-beauty” with you. Personally I like the design of the E61i. It doesn’t look “sexy” like the N78 or the N96, but it has some kind of unique design.
Playing a little bit with the E51’s Video centre I found three videos showing the Nokia E90, E61i and the E65. The video shows the business features of the devices in a pretty neat way. So, take a little time and enjoy the videos.
