If you want uninstall multiple apps on a S60 device you can do it only one after the other, not several at once. This is without a doubt a pain and takes some time. With BatchUninstall, developed by Think Change, you can uninstall multiple application at once. You just need to select all apps you want to uninstall and click ‘Delete Selected’. Batch Uninstall works on all S60 5th and 3rd edition devices.

The Nokia E71, E66 and E63 have all received a new firmware update taking them to V400.21.013. Neither devices support FOTA (Firmware-over-the-air) therefore to get this new firmware you will need to plug yourself into a PC and use either NSU (Nokia Software Updater) or the Ovi Suite. Remember neither handset supports UDP (User Data Preservation) either so make sure you do a full backup before updating your device. Provisional changelog after the jump. Spb Software just released an application called Spq TV. Spb TV is a highly usable IP-TV solution, optimized to run on S60 devices such as the 5800 XpressMusic, E63 , N95 and more. Spb TV provides users with lots of channels in multiple languages with easy-to-use features and settings. This software costs $14.95 but is also available as a trial version offering you a limited amount of channels. The full version offers more than 100 TV channels around the world. The spectrum of language and TV channels is really big. From English, German, Russian, Spanish to sport, news, whether, cartoon, religion it almost offers everything. The channels run smoothly on WiFI and 3G connection. However, if you don’t have a data plan you shouldn’t use this application via 3G or EDGE as this charge your phone bill excessively

I think everybody knows the Nokia tune. It is pre-loaded on millions of phones. Originally it was composed by Francisco Tárrega in the 19th century. However, what about the Nokia mailtone? A non-representative, but meaningful survey made by Nokia shows that the existence of a mailtone is almost unknown. Nokia wants to change it and so they created the site www.nokiamailtone.de. With Nokia Messaging Nokia is bringing e-mails straight on your mobile phone. So, Nokia want you to create the new mailtone. Just take your mobile phone with recording function, go outside, explore sound effects or compose a short sound. The three best will win a device from the current Nokia product portfolio. Gravity 1.00 is the first fully-featured and native Twitter client for the S60 platform. It supports multiple accounts, Twitter Search, Laconica, TwitPic and wraps everything into a gorgeous looking interface. Indeed, it really powerful offering almost every option you need. You can compare it to TweetDeck, a awesome Twitter client for the desktop. Gravity runs on S60 3rd Edition devices (E75, N95 etc.) and on 5th Edition (N97 and 5800). However, this application isn’t freeware and costs 7,85€. A trial version is available as well which expires after 10 days. In my opinion the application is worth the few euros.

Overview of Gravity’s Features:
- Compatible with Twitter and Laconica
- All functions available on your S60 phone: tweet, reply, DM, follow & unfollow, create favourites, search, auto-update and many more …
- Tabbed view of your Timeline, Replies, Messages, Friends, …
- Setup and use as many accounts as you want at the same time
- Twitter-Search section with multiple search tabs and Twitter Trends
- Post pictures via TwitPic Read the rest of this entry »

Now Nokia’s Mail for Exchange has been updated to v.2.0.158. Allegedly it is available for almost all Nokia phones. However, the official homepage doesn’t show the installation file when choosing for example the 5800, E61i or the N82. Nonetheless I think version 2.9 will work on these phones in due course. So far it is only available for the Nokia E51, E63, E66, E71, N73 and N95 8GB. Head over to download MfE 2.9 and to get further information.

I am a user of Nokia mobile-phones for several years by now. Actually I had many problems with the build-quality and other issues of all the phones by Nokia I have used. Unfortunately the time has gone by and not much except the features has changed. So I decided to write a post about all the issues I am „enjoying” with the company Nokia.

The Nokia E63 is the latest E-series device and there is no doubt that it looks like the E71. However, is it as good as the E71 which we’ve tested before or where is the E63 targeted?
Main advantages:
- Low price

Some months ago I’ve written that the E51 is the perfect mid tier device in my eyes (read the article here). Everytime somebody asks me for a good, simple and cheap phone I say Nokia E51. Now Nokia launched the E63 and after 2 weeks of use I do think that the E63 is a good mid tier device too. So, if you’re searching a good and cheap phone you should take a look at the E51 and the E63. Read on to see why the E63 is that good:
