Snowboard Hero is, as the name already hints, a snowboard game with severl game-modes. You can choose between speedrun, freestyle and a race. Basically, it is supposed to run on S60 3rd Edition devices only, however, it’s also possible to run it on touch-enabled devices. In this case you would have a onscreen-keyboard to control the game. If you own a Nokia N97 or a N97 Mini you can disable the onscreen-keyboard by going to settings. Then open the App Manager,go to installed apps and find the game. Finally go to options, suite settings, on-screen keyboard and than change to OFF.
Download the game to your Nokia N96, Sony Ericsson Satio or your Samsung Omnia I8910 HD and enjoy the game.

If you want uninstall multiple apps on a S60 device you can do it only one after the other, not several at once. This is without a doubt a pain and takes some time. With BatchUninstall, developed by Think Change, you can uninstall multiple application at once. You just need to select all apps you want to uninstall and click ‘Delete Selected’. Batch Uninstall works on all S60 5th and 3rd edition devices.

Skype have finally launched an official Skype application for S60 3rd Edition. The limited beta application runs on all S60 3rd Edition devices and can be downloaded here.
Just like the desktop version if you can call your sykpe contacts, write IMs, sent files and much more. It looks and works pretty good. Skype for Symbian works over Wifi or 3G data connection. We recommend having a unlimited data plan when using 3G connection.
Skype for Symbian supports:
- Free Skype-to-Skype calling
- Call phones with Skype credits or subscription
- Receive calls on your Online Number
- Instant Messaging
- Group conversations
- File sending and receiving Read the rest of this entry »

Today Nokia and Qt released the Beta version of Qt 4.6.0. Qt is a cross-platform application and UI framework. Using Qt, one can write applications once and deploy them across desktop, mobile and embedded operating systems without rewriting the source code. The beta runs on S60 3rd Edition as well as 5th Edition devices. I’ve installed it on my Nokia N97 and it looks really impressive. The focus of this release has been to stabilize the Symbian port, as well as adding a backend for the Phonon multimedia library enabling simple audio and video playback. The “Colossus” beta-release contains QtCore, QtTest, QtGui, QtNetwork, QtScript, QtSvg, QtWebKit, QtXML and Phonon as well as documentation and examples and demo.

To download Colossus straight to your phone point your phone’s browser to qt.nokia.com/phonedemo. For best performance we recommend to install in Phone memory.

Barcoo is a service allowing you to scan products in the supermarket to get information about this product. You can scan for example chocolate or any other barcode you find. It gives you information about the product, the best price, reviews, healthy-information, wikipedia-links and much more. The application is available for free and runs on all S60 3rd Edition and 5th Edition devices. Unfortunately, the application is available only in German but you can use it anyways. Head over to download the application. I really like the application how about you?

The Nokia N85 along with the Nokia N79 just received a new firmware. Version 20.175 fixes as always some major bugs but also adds some new functions. It adds turning controls (flip to silent for incoming calls and alarms) and Nokia’s email wizard, together with email notifications on the active idle screen (homescreen). You can get the firmware either by using the NSU or by updating it over the ait. To do so, just type *#0000# on your phone, and then choose Options, Check for Updates.

Last week I announced that Nokia’s Comes With Music service will be available in May. Now, I do have a certain date. The music-flatrate which allows you to download more than 5 million songs for a whole year will be available on May the 4th. First partner is mobilcom-debitel, further operators to follow soon. The first devices which will come with Comes With Music are the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (510 Euro), Nokia 5630 XpressMusic (379 Euro) Nokia N79 (479 Euro) and the Nokia N95 8GB (589 Euro). So, the CWM service costs about 15 Euro per month which is indeed a good price for as much music as you like. Nokia Germany will push the service and try to bring Comes With Music in everybody’s mouth using TV-Spots, promotions and more.
“We set out to create the music experience that people are telling us they are looking for – all the music they want in the form of unlimited downloads to their mobile device and PC,” said Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Multimedia, Nokia. “Even if you listened to music 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you would still only scratch the surface of the music that we’re making available. Comes with Music fulfils our dream to give consumers all the music they want, wherever they want it, while rewarding the artists who create it.”
