Snowboard Hero is, as the name already hints, a snowboard game with severl game-modes. You can choose between speedrun, freestyle and a race. Basically, it is supposed to run on S60 3rd Edition devices only, however, it’s also possible to run it on touch-enabled devices. In this case you would have a onscreen-keyboard to control the game. If you own a Nokia N97 or a N97 Mini you can disable the onscreen-keyboard by going to settings. Then open the App Manager,go to installed apps and find the game. Finally go to options, suite settings, on-screen keyboard and than change to OFF.
Download the game to your Nokia N96, Sony Ericsson Satio or your Samsung Omnia I8910 HD and enjoy the game.

If you want uninstall multiple apps on a S60 device you can do it only one after the other, not several at once. This is without a doubt a pain and takes some time. With BatchUninstall, developed by Think Change, you can uninstall multiple application at once. You just need to select all apps you want to uninstall and click ‘Delete Selected’. Batch Uninstall works on all S60 5th and 3rd edition devices.

The Nokia N95, the Nokia N82 as well as the Nokia N95 8GB, all received a new firmware and have been updated to version 35. Unfortunately, we cannot report any changes at the moment but we try our best to get a changelog as soon as possible. Unlike all current Nokias the N95 and the N95 8GB do not feature UDP so that you need to backup all your data before updating the device. The N82 however, comes with UDP so that a back up isn’t needed. In order to upadte your phone use the Nokia Software Updater. Here the exact name of each firmware is:

Skype have finally launched an official Skype application for S60 3rd Edition. The limited beta application runs on all S60 3rd Edition devices and can be downloaded here.
Just like the desktop version if you can call your sykpe contacts, write IMs, sent files and much more. It looks and works pretty good. Skype for Symbian works over Wifi or 3G data connection. We recommend having a unlimited data plan when using 3G connection.

The most anticipated firmware update in Nokia history is due to arrive in the next few days. Firmware Version 2.0 brings not only kinetic scrolling but also more allocated storage and more widgets. In general, a Firmware update brings improvements, bug fixes and new features. However, some users aren’t aware of how to update the Nokia N97 or any other S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 or 5th Edition device. In this article I’ll show the two basic ways to update the firmware. The process is pretty simple. Either you can do it straight from your phone or using your PC.

 Today Nokia and Qt released the Beta version of Qt 4.6.0. Qt is a cross-platform application and UI framework. Using Qt, one can write applications once and deploy them across desktop, mobile and embedded operating systems without rewriting the source code. The beta runs on S60 3rd Edition as well as 5th Edition devices. I’ve installed it on my Nokia N97 and it looks really impressive. The focus of this release has been to stabilize the Symbian port, as well as adding a backend for the Phonon multimedia library enabling simple audio and video playback. The “Colossus” beta-release contains QtCore, QtTest, QtGui, QtNetwork, QtScript, QtSvg, QtWebKit, QtXML and Phonon as well as documentation and examples and demo.

Have you been wondering why there are more and more people talking to their phones? Giving their devices orders like: “send SMS to Norman, message hello how are you?” or “open File Manager.” Vlingo Corporation has launched their voice application, Vlingo, which allows user to instantly send a text messages and emails, call contacts, search the Web, create a “note to self” and much more, simply by speaking to your compatible S60 device. Do you remember games like Sonic The Hedgehog? More than 10 years ago games by Sega were really popular and I believe they still are. If you would like to play these games on your S60 handset today is your lucky day. I’ve found an emulator which allows you to play .smd and other files. Smd is a rom file for the sega megadrive. This tutorial works on both, S60 3rd and 5th edition handsets. However, as you need keys to control the game the Nokia N97 is the only S60 5th Edition device which you can use. In February 2009 Nokia announced the Ovi Store, kind of Nokia’s answer to Apple, Android and Blackberry. Back than the release date was May and indeed, the Ovi store made its way to our handsets.Yet, it has been launched in Germany, UK, Australia, Singapore and Ireland and works on the 5800 XpressMusic, E75 as well as on the N95. However, it is reaching more and more countries and devices in the next days. In order to download the Ovi store just refresh the ‘Download!’ application on your S60 device and download Ovi Store. From now on you can download applications, games, themes, sounds, videos and more.
