On Tuesday I attend the virtual Q&A session regarding the new 2.0 Firmware update for the Nokia N97. Although the Nokia N97  has a full QWERTY keyboard there was no easy way to copy and paste a text. The lack of a control key made it pretty difficult and the solution was not optimized properly. Now, with the new 2.0 Firmware update, it’s finally possible to copy a text easily using the QWERTY keyboard. This makes texting even easier and much more comfortable. Though copy and paste isn’t supported on web pages you can use it in any other situation like copying an address from an e-mail and pasting it into a contact’s detail. Since the release of the new 2.0 Firmware for the Nokia N97, forums have been bombarded with people questioning certain aspects of the update.  Well, thanks to WOMWorld I have been invited to an exclusive Q&A session with the team behind the new 2.0 Firmware to discuss various issues regarding the new firmware update and the Nokia N97. The virtual Q&A session is taking place on Tuesday 3rd November at 17.30GMT, where I will be questioning Nokia representatives Frank Zillikens, Lead Firmware Developer and Catalin Gheorghiu, a member of the technical team responsible for the 2.0 Firmware. This session is a chance to voice your opinions and ask any questions you like. Finally Nokia have launched the long awaited 2.0 Firmware update for the Nokia N97. V20.0.019 is the firmware that will feature on the N97 mini and the one that every N97 user has been waiting for. Igor aka kAIST is without a doubt a really talented developer. Now he brought us a new and powerful drawing application. XpressSketch works on all S60 5th Edition devices such as the Nokia N97, 5530, 5800, X6 and the 5230. Although there is a lot effort in the software it’s completely for free. As already said, XpressSketch isn’t a simple drawing app but rather a powerful drawing tool offering following features:

As you all know I was in London last week courtesy of WomWorld, attending Nokia’s ‘Secret Event’ of the new Ovi Maps and Good Things. It was an incredible experience and there were nine other bloggers invited from all around the world. It was great to meet them all in person and get to know them a little better. If you’ve been following me over at The Nokia Review you would have seen my recent coverage about the event. I’ve put together my thoughts on the event which was based around the N97 mini and the new version of Ovi Maps. This new version will also feature on the Nokia N97 2.0 Firmware which is due to hit NSU anytime now. So head over and leave some comments on your thoughts. The most anticipated firmware update in Nokia history is due to arrive in the next few days. Firmware Version 2.0 brings not only kinetic scrolling but also more allocated storage and more widgets. In general, a Firmware update brings improvements, bug fixes and new features. However, some users aren’t aware of how to update the Nokia N97 or any other S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 or 5th Edition device. In this article I’ll show the two basic ways to update the firmware. The process is pretty simple. Either you can do it straight from your phone or using your PC.
