Snowboard Hero is, as the name already hints, a snowboard game with severl game-modes. You can choose between speedrun, freestyle and a race. Basically, it is supposed to run on S60 3rd Edition devices only, however, it’s also possible to run it on touch-enabled devices. In this case you would have a onscreen-keyboard to control the game. If you own a Nokia N97 or a N97 Mini you can disable the onscreen-keyboard by going to settings. Then open the App Manager,go to installed apps and find the game. Finally go to options, suite settings, on-screen keyboard and than change to OFF.
Download the game to your Nokia N96, Sony Ericsson Satio or your Samsung Omnia I8910 HD and enjoy the game.

The fourth quarter of 2009 ended quite positive with a increase of 8.3 percent. In 2009, smartphone sales reached 172.4 million units, a 23.8 per cent increase from 2008. Athough Symbian and Nokia are still market leader, they lost approx two (Nokia) and five per cet compared to the previous year. Also Sony Ericsson’s market share decreased two per cent.

XpressCut is a simple but powerful application to cut and save songs directly on your S60 5th Edition phone. Open XpressCut, select a song, set the start tag and the end. Once you pressed the save button it will create a new file and save the song. The quality of the new created file is good and can be send to your friends or can be used as a ringtone. Apparently, XpressCut is based on Phython and requires at least Python version 1.9.7. Install Python first and then XpressCut.

Skype have finally launched an official Skype application for S60 3rd Edition. The limited beta application runs on all S60 3rd Edition devices and can be downloaded here.
Just like the desktop version if you can call your sykpe contacts, write IMs, sent files and much more. It looks and works pretty good. Skype for Symbian works over Wifi or 3G data connection. We recommend having a unlimited data plan when using 3G connection.
At the Nokia Capital Markets Day Nokia revealed and showed how Symbian will look like next year. Apparently Nokia learned that the UI is the most important element of a smartphone. It isn’t much we got to see but that what we saw looks really good and innovative. Finally Multi touch as well as single tap will be added. More over, the Internet experience will be improved due to kinetic scrolling with 60fps instead of 15 and better flash support. Other than that simplicity is also a key factor. Thus it will be easier to create a new email account (2 instead of 4 clicks) or to jump to your favorite music. In terms of the UI’s speed it be 3 times faster. Nokia said that they will deliver these major changes in two steps. Fist, we can expect the first package before midyear and the second in winter 2010. All in all these are major milestone for this truly open operation system.
