Stuff Magazine Review The Sony Ericsson Vivaz ProPosted by Ibrahim Jogee in Hands On, Review, S60 5th Edition, S60 Touch, Sony Ericsson, Symbian, Vivaz, Vivaz Pro
The guys over at Stuff Magazine have got their hands on the Sony Ericsson Vivas and Vivas Pro. The Vivaz Pro is the QWERTY keyboard version of the Vivaz and it still retains all the features of its sibling, barring a few key differences. The Vivas has an 8.1MP camera whereas the Vivaz Pro packs in 5.1MPs and therefore a smaller sensor to make way for it’s slide out keyboard. The Vivaz Pro is also 2mm thicker, but the best part however, is they both pack 720p HD video mode, putting it up against the likes of Samsung’s i8910 HD. Julian Whitehorn gives a quick overview of the Vivas Pro in his hands-on demo after the break. Read the rest of this entry »

In total, the worldwide mobile phone sales to end users totalled 1.211 billion units in 2009, a 0.9 per cent decline from 2008. This is, if you bear in mind the global recession, a decent result. The fourth quarter of 2009 ended quite positive with a increase of 8.3 percent. In 2009, smartphone sales reached 172.4 million units, a 23.8 per cent increase from 2008. Athough Symbian and Nokia are still market leader, they lost approx two (Nokia) and five per cet compared to the previous year. Also Sony Ericsson’s market share decreased two per cent. |
